Thrilled to partake in the #209Women exhibition commemorating 100 years of the female vote. Only 1/3 of the MPs representing are Women, so we still have a way to go. I choose Rachael Maskell MP for York central. It was a pleasure to meet her, and utterly inspiring to spend time with someone with such integrity. And a politician to boot. Very impressed!

We couldn’t have picked a colder day for a re-enactment of a BHF fund raising event. How to make a bus load of case studies, volunteers and their families look like a 2,000 people event? - Very grateful of everybody’s enthusiasm in the rain!

Ha! hiring a warefarer bus to circumnavigate Trafalgar square and westminster bridge is all very well, but in December? Everyone was very patient with me directing them to release their hot water bottles and coats again!

It worked out we had 20 minutes per scenario! bonkers!

Ha! The end of the shoot wrap shot of a plane engineer shooting all us crew on the steps of the very hot plane opposite. Our engineers clocked off at 3pm and switched the engine off - and hence the aircon. We clocked off 4 steamy hours later !!!

Good to see part of the McDonald’s campaign out.

New personal project on my doorstep: Geoff lives in my village, used to be a rocket scientist during the cold war era, and still spends a chunk of his time doing his passion: caving - his house was like a museum.

Quick chance to do some personal work after shooting for McDonald’s Ukraine in Kiev. I’ll be back for sure. The ‘dulcet’ tones and the crazy graphicness of the high-rise with green wasteland, is just perfect for me.

Extremely soggy and cold, but utterly exhilarating shoot for Berghaus in The Lakes - I’d forgotten what a stunning place it is.

Very lucky with the weather on this shoot - the forecast was thunderstorms, which would have altered the feel somewhat! It makes up for all those days when the client doesn’t have a budget for wet weather, and you just have to make magic in the rain.

Had the opportunity to play with a water housing for my camera - what could be better? shooting and being in water all at the same time - and in the baking sun!

More projects in Palma - Recceing at the San Hugo pool in Palma - perfect venue. Definitely need to come back here.

Literally stumbled across an Elina Brotherus exhibition whilst family holidaying in Montpellier. Good to watch the girls being bowled over by her too (although, Erin’s either had enough at this stage, or starting to take on the role herself!).

Personal portrait project I’ve just started using actors I’ve casted through drama classes. It always bowls me over how willing strangers are to having me and my camera sharing their intimate world.

Final part for Panadol over the Andes to Santiago. More real families to show the intricacies of life.

End of shoot/wrap of team in a very hot and sticky Bangkok for Panadol. It’s been a fair few years since I lived in Thailand, so it’s been wonderful to be back - and a lot of the language has started creeping back too.

Utterly ‘spent’ after working with some very very enthusiastic monsters for Asda. The bucket of sweet bribes we kept feeding them might have had something to do with it (as shown on the table top!).

Never mind behind the scene: before the scene. 6am dip in the Med. in Majorca before call time for an Asda shoot - can’t resist that water.

Recently back from a few days of shooting personal work in Palma. Love it. Can completely immerse myself in it, away from the family. Always hectic though, as I try and do as much of the production as possible.

Nice to see the Cabot Circus campaign out there on the street.

Here’s some personal work of my youngest, when she was younger and could still fit into her tiger suit. Anchor has just chosen to use for their campaign. Might have to get the rabbit suit out too.

Just finished a hectic few days for Specsavers/Hearcare, on the South Coast. Predominantly for the older generation, and casted accordingly, I was pretty impressed with the stamina of the cast as we shot into the sunset.

Brilliant to see my Black Mirror Campaign for Charlie Brooker’s Channel4 series included in the Creative Review Annual. Smoke and Mirrors did a string job on the retouch.

Fun shoot with Freddie Flintoff for Jacamo Menswear. He seemed a lot taller than 6’4”.

Great to see my Nokia Ads up.

A great couple of days spent ‘scrumming’ around with a mixture of models and true rugby players, for the Canterbury brand. I’ve learnt more about the rules of Rugby, and just how rough it can be. luckily no bruises.

After a terrible 6 weeks of British, summer weather, the elements were on our side for a 12 day Benenden shoot. Teenagers are a dream to work with - raw energy without the desire to be guarded. Given free range to explore what makes people ‘alive’, on this one

Had a great day shooting for Nokia with some talented actors - Great light to work with. Possibly one of my most favourite shoots this year.

Spent a couple of fun days mincing around Brick lane with Professor Green and Jamal for Puma. Great team form Puma to work with: super organised. Check out the Behind the Scenes.
